Yay, my iPhone 2G is working on Telstra EDGE again on OS 3.0. I called Telstra & they turned on a ‘iPhone access point’ mode in my account.
“Your service has been migrated to Internode infrastructure” - Woot. Now to select a ADSL2 plan!
Wish I still had the Michael Jackson fashion doll that I got for xmas back in the 80’s. Often think about that doll.

Re-jailbroke iPhone 2G running OS 3.0 with redsn0w. Didn’t fix the issue with GPRS/EDGE which stopped working after 2.2.1>3.0 update :(
