Instiki wiki

Was looking for a nice Wiki that was simple, not ugly, supported markdown and could do file uploads. I decided on Instiki + a file uploader patch. Very happy with it.

I wish there was a Instiki Blog plugin :)

Oh yeah, I finally fully despammed my blog comments. 3+ hours of my life wasted :/ Will be keeping on top of them with mt-blacklist and the links it adds to notification emails.

P.S: Just read Merlin at 43 folders (my fave blog of the moment) has been using Instiki too. Can’t get his CSS file to work though. Will give it another bash later.
P.P.S: The CSS file WAS working all along. Thing was I was expecting a huge change to the look and then though there where no changes. Thanks to Merlin for helping me out.

What’s the CSS file doing? Email me if you like.

    Hmm…where’s the file uploader patch?

I’m also curious about “enhancing” instiki to do blog chores.

It’s nice and simple, no need for anything too complex, great for intranet work!

Have a look at http://pimki.rubyforge.org/ for blogging and other features.

How do I make my published wiki searchable?

Michelle, I don’t think it does it itself, but you could try adding google search. See: http://www.google.com/services/search.html
