Spurred on by the advice here, I have reduced my crazy inbox of over 1000 unsorted emails to 0.
This pdf was linked to in the comments on that post: http://www.goodexperience.com/reports/e-mail/email-report-goodexperience.pdf
also has good suggestions on managing email.
Remains to be seen if this will last but I remain hopefull and will try to be diciplined.
It took about 3 hours to sort though all the shit though :/ I had a LOT of IMAP folders for various topics. It was good from that fact that it was on any machine i used but a pain to find anything. This will be an improvment but i too am really looking forward to spotlight. oh hmm. that probably won’t work over IMAP… oh well, we will see when it hits.
doh, I just realised firefox doesn’t use built in OS X spell checking… I doubt that will make me change back though. There are too many nifty things one can do with firefox that are finally working in this preview release. Didn’t have a lot of luck with addons a few months back.
