(can’t say i agree with the Autechre one though :/ )

cool wireless IM device:

Love this though:

“With IMfree, the family computer is available for the family once again. And the kids don’t have to miss a single LOL or OMG moment.”

Found a very interesting blog today about ‘Captology’

Definition: The use of computers “from websites to mobile phone software” as a persuasive technology.

Stanfords main site on the subject: http://captology.stanford.edu/

Their blog: http://captology.stanford.edu/notebook/

Spurred by reading the above blog, I thought I’d hilight the need for people to learn a bit more about the growing number of ‘phishing’ scams happening. Take this quiz. I got tricked. 8/10. that doesn’t mean I would have given my info though, deciding to ignore the first time. For a hypothetical example of my reasoning – if it WAS paypal, they would mention the email/problem next time I logged in again.

So what you say? I have nothing to hide. Well this kinda ‘over the top’ page with flash movie makes a good point.

Gush, A cross platform IM and news aggregator looks impressive. Add to this mix, PIM abilities with web/PDA synching and it would win over me in a second. Will be keeping an eye on that for sure.

Have trouble fitting wall warts on a powerstrip? get one of these. Now I gotta find an aussie model
