I got slack posting again.. here is time-lapse catch up:

• After Rax I got a bit slack


• Worked on music


• Bought an MPC1000! w00t!


• Developed a live ‘electronica’ set with songcarver


• Played this set at the plug and play thursdays at ‘kent street cafe’ on smith street in Fitzroy.


• friend dan had bday party – went to republika (smith st, fitzroy). far too smokey in the upstairs dance area(breaks and DnB mostly) but had fun.


• got flu and felt shit for almost 2 weeks and watched far too much TV…zzzzz


• DJ/eJayed twice at Kent St (2 thursdays in a row) (using Abelton Live set up with the internal ‘EQ three’ and my xstation controlling the EQ and crossfading. I will be putting the live sets online soon (playlist AND mp3 of the set)) I really enjoyed DJ’n my fave tracks. I’ll be playing there more in the future i hope.


• Replaced MPC1000 with a new one cause the first had problems with 2 of its pads.


• My girlfriends brother (lives in Sydney) stayed for a few days. We collabed on a track. Will most likely use what we did and go our own directions with it now.


• Have not achieved anywhere near what I could/should have been over this time which is getting me down but I have been making good progress with some songs.


• Have been to barbukka in fitzroy(smith st is happenin’!) twice to see Ria Somardjo, Glen and Chris. Amazing stuff. (A fusion of music from Indonesia, India, and the Middle East with vocals, tabla and oud(how IS that instrument spelt? Ude? Oud or Ud. hmmmm all of the above perhaps :P) Gotta go check out Vada again too. they are playing there Thursdays though it conflicts with Plug and Play at Kent st.


• Girlfriend and I got into the NEIS program. (government funded business start up training) yay!

I need to take the xStation back also Its continuos knobs are stiff, the mix level knob has a mind of its own and there is intermittent problems with one of the RCA outputs. I hope they fix their drivers also. I have so many problems(clicks/pops, crashing whole OS or install problems) with that side of it I end up not using it at all.

Oh! Live 4.0 rocks! wow they have done well.

dum di dumm. ummm. what else. I really need to get my finger out of my arse – I have projects to finish for people! Motivate!

Rax 1.1 is on the horizon. I didn’t have to do much for this release – was all programming duties for Rob.
