Hey Atariboy, have you tried SoundDiver to edit patches with? It’s possible someone has built a map for it that would allow it to talk to your synth, or if this synth is similar to some previous Ensoniq models, maybe you could try those settings.

no, i havn’t. sound diver is OS 9/windows only as well.

many of the patches are in a special .an1 format so thats why i need the special app..

i found quite a few patches in sysex and i can use them in OS X anyway with Sysex librarian so i am pretty happy. but yeah, i can’t program it with a computer UI yet and i doubt sound diver could offer the features the dedicated app does.

maybe i should pull out an old LC475 and macman MIDI interface i have here and use that. hmmm

Yeah, that’s what I meant, haha. I thought I sent a reply correcting that. I love SoundDiver, but obviously I haven’t used it for awhile. I assumed there was an OSX version of it. I should have assumed you’d figured that out, resourceful OSX audio guy that you are.

And on that note… I miss the Bunka. Apewok’s server is great, but sometimes I feel like posting obscure audio tech stuff on there would be boring to some of the users.

And while I’m aware it’s still up, it’s kinda hard to post news to a server that’s been saying it’s going offline all the time. Or is that just a trick to get ‘the man’ off your back?

no. its not to keep them off my back… there’s nothing illegal there to start with… all free samples and non-signed musicians music.

i have one aswell and it´s a great synth, got almost exactly for the same reasons as you =)

I got one a few months ago but the MIDI implimentation seems a bit screwy, ie when connected to Reason the mod wheel doesnt link to the mod wheels of the softsynths
